I have been avoiding Boots for a while because I have been low on money, but when I started to run out of some staple pieces I knew I needed to visit, and I talked myself into waiting until payday, so I could actually afford what I wanted to buy.... and more.
Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin Foundation - 005 Light Beige
The only foundation that I have used is the Bourjois healthy mix serum, buy just recently I have noticed that it has been making me turn orange, so I thought that it is time for a change, as I have stuck to the healthy mix for years. I decided to try the Maybeline Better Skin, because I have looked into this before, but decided against it, and considering Maybeline was on 3 for 2 this time, I decided to get it.
Since buying this I have used it once, so it isn't enough to be going all out with a review. I have the shade 005 Light Beige which is the lightest shade they offer, and this did not turn me orange at all, it looked really natural and like I wasn't wearing anything. The foundation claims to even skin tone, and for instantly better skin in 3 weeks, which is a big claim, but I'll see how it goes.
Maybelline Color Sensational 418 Peach Poppy
I own two of the color sensational lipsticks and I really like them, so I decided to buy another, and I decided on Peach Poppy, I don't know if I'm loving this choice, but I own nothing like it, and I'm thinking about going back to get another colour that I swatched on my hand, and didn't like in the shop, but out of the shop it looked gorgeous, but back to this shade. As the name states it is a very pretty peach. I'm sure you'll hear more when I've worn this.
Maybelline - Lash Sensational - Black
I've heard a lot about this mascara, but decided not to get it, that was until I didn't know what to get for my third item and decided that I'd try it and I'm glad that I did. This is another thing that I've only worn once, but from that once I really liked it. It did not clump my lashes, but they looked fuller and longer and I have really short eyelashes naturally.
I went to the Rimmel stand wanting to try more of the Rita Ora nail polishes, as I really like Oragina, the shade that I talked about in my last post. Unfortunately they didn't have a lot of choice in the Boots that I went into, but I still picked two up.
Rimmel London - 60 Seconds Super Shine by Rita Ora - Peachella
I'm currently wearing this and I must say that I'm in love. Peach is definitely one of my favourite colours, and this is such a pretty colour. I think the colour stays true to the bottle and doesn't look insanely different once it has been applied. Another plus is the fact it only costs £2.99. It took two coats to be fully opaque and did not require a third, it also dried really quickly, which I really like.
Rimmel London - 60 Seconds Super Shine by Rita Ora - Roll in the Grass
I'm not too sure about this shade, as it is not something that I would wear, as the reason that I bought it was because I own nothing like it. I'd describe it as a spring green. Now I just need the confidence to wear it.
Rimmel London - Oh My Gloss Lip Gloss - Purrr... Glossy Cat
Now I know that beauty products often have weird names, but I think this one takes it, I have no words for it... which is quite disappointing since I'm supposed to be writing about it, but lets just leave the name alone. My mum was looking for a gloss and wasn't sure about this one, so I told her to swatch it on my hand and when she did I realised that I really liked it as well. The colour looks slightly different compared to the tube, as it looks similar to the Kylie Jenner lip craze when applied and swatched. I can't comment on how long this lasts, as I haven't worn it out yet, but it looks super pretty.
Batiste Dry Shampoo - Tropical
I think if anyone mentions Dry Shamoo, the first brand that comes to mind is Batiste. It is cheap and it really works. I know that some people with dark hair don't like it because of the white marks that it can leave, but I don't mind that, as that is good hiding for darker roots.
So this is everything I got from Boots, and I still suck at ending posts.
